  • How long have you been working at Thorp?

This is my second year teaching at Thorp, but my 9th year teaching.

 

  • What did you want to be when you were younger?

A teacher!

 
  • What is your favorite thing about teaching?

Getting to work with the kids every day, it’s always changing and it never gets old.

 
  • If you weren’t teaching now, what would you be doing?

I would love to own a bakery—I make up recipes a lot in my spare time.

 

  • What is your favorite sport?

To participate in: Distance running. To watch: Football.

 

  • What is your favorite children’s book?

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, by Kate Dicamillo

 

  • If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you’d do or get?

I would plan a trip around the world and donate the rest to a charity of some sort that benefits women and children.

 

  • What is your favorite childhood cartoon show?

Sesame Street

 
  • If you could take a trip anywhere, where would you go?

Okinawa, Japan

 

  • Do you speak any other languages?

Survival-level French, German, and Spanish, but none of them very well.
